Southlands Court is a beautiful residential home situated in the green fields of North Devon
Southlands Court is peacefully situated among the green fields of Devon, half a mile from the quaint village of Bridgerule, making it a beautiful place to live. Our courtyard is complete with a fish pond, tables and chairs, making it a pleasant place to enjoy coffee and afternoon teas. The tastefully decorated and well-furnished residence contains twenty five spacious ensuite rooms, along with three lounges, a large dining room and a recreational area stocked with large print books, cards, puzzles and more.
Our mission is to provide the best possible quality of care. Our experienced staff remain on duty twenty four hours a day; care is planned with the resident and delivered by our carefully selected team of assistants, under the supervision of the manager and deputy manager. Our philosophy is rooted in both quality and choice. We encourage and sustain independence, while providing all the physical, clinical and spiritual care that is required.

You all worked so hard to make Southlands into a happy and friendly place to live, and we always felt welcomed into a family atmosphere when visiting mum. Mum spoke highly of her care and very much enjoyed the quizzes, bingo, cream tea outings and church minister visits to name but a few. We so appreciate all the hard work as mum’s health declined and especially the extra support the night staff gave and prompt help when medical assistance was needed more recently. Everyone went above and beyond what was expected. It was truly appreciated.”

What activities do you offer residents?
We hold regular optional activities such as bingo, quizzes and games. We have weekly shopping trips and do excursions further afield during the summer months.

Visitors are welcome at any time – either in the privacy of the resident’s room or in the communal areas. A complimentary tray of tea or coffee is always available!
